Mid-Century Solid Walnut Nightstand with Angled Legs
$44.99
This nightstand is crafted from solid American black walnut wood with a natural oil-and-wax finish that highlights the wood’s grain. The dimensions are 55 cm wide, 41 cm deep, and 52 cm high. The design features a single drawer with a carved groove handle routed directly into the solid wood front. Below the drawer is an open cubby (15 cm high) for storing books or magazines. The drawer uses dovetailed joinery and runs on wooden glides. The drawer interior is 47 cm wide, 35 cm deep, and 10 cm high. The top panel is 2.5 cm thick and can support up to 18 kg. The drawer maximum load is 7 kg. The nightstand stands on four tapered solid walnut legs angled at 10 degrees outward. The legs are 12 cm high and are attached using metal threaded inserts and screws (pre-installed threaded inserts in the leg tops). This allows the legs to be removed for transport. Rubber tips on the bottom of the legs prevent slipping and protect floors. Assembly required: simply screw the four legs into the pre-installed inserts – no additional tools needed (hand-tighten). The body comes fully assembled. The oil-and-wax finish is not waterproof; use coasters for drinks. Spills should be wiped immediately to avoid staining. To clean, dust with a soft cloth. For residue, use a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Re-application of food-grade mineral oil or beeswax every 12–18 months can help maintain the finish. Natural walnut color ranges from light chocolate to dark purplish-brown, with occasional sapwood (lighter streaks) – these are not defects. The nightstand does not include any electrical components. The open cubby has a height clearance of 15 cm, suitable for paperback books or a small tablet. The product is made from solid wood, so seasonal movement (slight expansion and contraction) is normal. Avoid placing the nightstand near heating vents or in very dry environments to prevent cracking. Total weight: 10 kg. The angled legs make the nightstand slightly more stable than straight-leg designs, but it should still be placed on a level floor.
